Toward a standardized definition of Evidence based workforce development

Evidence-based workforce development is defined as the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective programs and policies in workforce development through application of principles of scientific reasoning, including systematic uses of data and information systems, and appropriate use of behavioral science theory and program planning models.

Something can only be held to be true after it has been validated through an empirical process –this is called science

Thus, evidence based is information practice that has been validated by more than one study
